With the knowledge i'm going to get raped on the insurance for the G60 next year....
I'm car shopping.

Need something big enough for the dog (I would put a pic up but i'm not at 15 posts yet lol) but cheap enough not to break the bank on ins or buying the car.

Bored of the VAG stable been driving them for 7 years!

Also no good estates that aren't Mk3 Golf Rot Boxes (worse than nova's and newer for those that haven't encountered one)

Need decent enough power to keep me entertained but not too thirsty.

I suppose the upshot of all of this is I need a fun Grandad wagon that isn't going to die on me when i try and get it up a hill!

Kinnda fallen in love with the Nova License eater so looking towards the Vaux range...

Ideas? :confused:

Why do you think you'll get raped? Was the NIP for a summons, or just a set points/fine? TBH a speeding fine won't really make that much difference.

I mean instant ban as in, you dont go to court and have the chance of getting points and a fine, you go to court and you give them your licence!

All speeding infractions carry the risk of a fine, points and ban. Doesn't matter what speed you're doing, its up to the judge at the end of the day. I've heard of people getting away with a hefty fine and points but no ban whilst doing well in excess of 100, yet people doing considerably less getting a few weeks holiday.

Thats not to say you won't, the faster you go the more your flouting the laws and the harder they will come down on you.

In which case i stand corrected, i was always led to beleive (unless youre an off-duty copper or a footballer) that it was bye bye licence if you were caught doing upwards of 99mph.
