2.0 8v aftermarket cam shaft

has anyone fitted a aftermarket cam shaft to a c20seh/ne? was ther much diffrence from standard? bhp increase? can you feel the diffrence?

tomsticklands site is what you want, don't have the link but google it, he did loads of tuning mods to the old 2.0 8v, iirc he kept the cam as you lose power low down to get more higher up, whereas the std cam is a good balance.

That's just common practice though anyway.

I can't vouch for the 2.0, but I had a Piper mild/fast road cam on my 1600, it sounded deeper, felt barely any less torquey down low rpm's & felt a bit nicer at the top end. Overall it pulled nicely.

But it depends if you are on std management & inlet etc or going carbs etc.
