Which Gearbox ?

Currently i have a 5 speed box, not sure on the code i will check tomorrow.
What is the best gearbox to have for the quickest acceleration
Its a 1.2 8v nova with standard 5 speed box
Looking for maybe a close ration one ?

sod the gearbox, stick a bigger engine in it.....

seriously, a f13cr with a 4.53:1 diff from a 1200astra (if you can find one) would be amazing on acceleration, but totally crap on top end speed.

....i think you might get fed up with your ratios being any lower than standard.. see if you can get to drive one (or be driven in one) that has had the same treatment in the transmission dept.

incidentally is it a carb or injection 1.2?

its injection mate, dont have the funds atm for a bigger engine

ive had standard 4speed, f13cr, and f13cr with 4.18 final drive so it was just acceleration and 4 speed was the best as less time lost changing gear, for all the hassle keep your money, invest in a bigger engine, maybe a 1.4 or sumat.
