the only thing that gets coloured is the fuel filter. we run our tractors on red or white depending on the job & we swap the fuel over regularly. & we've been tank dipped times .........
lol^ oh i was told (ok by the filth doing the test) that its stains the tank too.
and a cop actually stood up in a leicestershire rural crime prevention meeting & told farmers that they could dye their diesel so it would be easy to spot if it go nicked & wondered why my mate told him to eff off

not good mate my carbed 1.2 back in the expensive petrol days (£1.10 ish days) would do about 50 +/- miles for a fiver.
Mine works out about 33-38mpg on uni runs recently, although not sure of exact numbers. That's done on routefinder instead of odometer though, as the novas is probably out by 15% with the speedo lol
i do only drive it around town, and i dont hold back on my foot lol
martin you know how i drive mine and i get 35mpg

370 miles to £43 on a 1.4 8v can some one work mine out please
8.6 miles per £.
Without knowing the quantity of fuel, or price per litre, you can't work out MPG.
Most accurate way to figure it out is fill the tank to the top, record the mileage, then drive around. Once you're done, refill to the top again, and note the mileage and how much fuel you put in. To be more accurate, do this a few times.
[edit] Keeping a fuel record is handy as its one way to spot when something is up with your car. I knew something was wrong with the Saloon before it died as the mpg dropped.

lol yeh you dont drive it lightly, and then you have a small panic when there is a roundabout and a que of traffic LMAO

Last time my mum said that after a roundabout it was because the guy coming round it swerved across 2 lanes of it lol
Forget speed cameras - an MPG display for live/trip information gets people into hypermiling whether they know it or not!

Has the weight of your right foot increased to the ratio of nicer sound now that you have your cone filter. That may be why your mpg has gone down. Try using a right foot regulator see if that helps lol :thumb:
My right foot is always heavy :)
