View Full Version : my pointless picture
A mate took this today so thought i just aswell share it.....
I was at work today and bored with the tedious jobs that i have planned out so thought of something a tad more interesting to do.
After talking to CP the last day or so and hearing he was playing diggers in his back garden i thought i would dust off the levers of our machine and have a play/top the battery up. Luckily a trench i had dug for a major cable relocation job needed backfilling so i had the perfect excuse :)
Lee would probably appreciate this more than most as he has stood at the top of the following bank and looked down to see how steep it was lol lol Its not that bad imo and i have gone up much steeper over the years but my mate thought he would get a snap before he ran away like a girl.
The picture itself doesnt show it aswell as it could but for reference the track and vehicles below are on a slight slope already so that puts into context the angle i am on abit better lol lol lol

same as my usual machine(ec140L?),although its down and ive been on the 225(deawoo).
today and for the rest of the week im digging for a new 300mm gas main with the welsh lads.
Was that at lunch for scooping up a 'little' bit of food for you?
its just our baby 14t ovlov, not so much skills just had the fear took out of me when i twas but a boy lol lol, nah been playing on machines since i was big enough to reach the levers from sitting on my fathers lap so there isnt much i wont do with one. Get abit rusty from time to time as i officially gave them up years back, but my mate still gets a shock every now and again as in the 35 years he's been in the trade he doesnt recall watching anyone as "tapped in the effin head" as he politely words it lol lol lol lol lol
I like to mess around still as it gives me a break from the more meetings that keep cropping up of late, looks like i can wear a shirt and tie full time again by march/april when the eco home kicks off, so making the most of my freedom now

Sorry Dan but why is your avatar 1/4 the size of my screen?
nice to see the avatar monkeys are still around, novatek its becuase dont think of size when hacking profiles :thumb: lol lol lol
Sod sitting on piles of muck, thats for youngsters and brain dead drivers lol lol lol
Personally when i was on them full time be it a 3CX or a 30t komatsu i did everything, but my fun job was trimming, as i could keep within a 5mm tolerance and play my own game of speed and accuracylol lol
But it all gets boring in time hence i have taken the project manager role now with the option to still keep my hand in when bored (YES that means i am one of the rare few that when some cocky drivers chucks his keys at me and says "you do it", that i take the keys and do so, but better lol lol lol )
Now thats a fookin avatar!!!!
Whats wrong with that...?

mine has to be nice long straight digs dropping 8ft Diameter pipe sewer in.
although i like to form/prep the roads and carparks ready for the black stuff(tarmac)that keeps you on your toes;)
anyway enough of that i have top go and do another 10 hours tommorowlol
yup, as i said trimming is the key, sorts the men from the boys when the tolerances get nice and low when the tarmac is rolling in behind you lol . still, my time is long done on that now.
