just rebuilding the top end on the womans corsa
its got a x14sz lump in it and just bought a headset from my old work should there be a cambox gasket to go between the head and cambox??
bit confused as i cant remember taking one off and cant find one anywere so is it metal to metal?

No, you just use rtv/silicone sealant

cheers for the reply mate cant do much now then as havnt got any here will have to go get some
was just making sure as didnt want to have to go back and mess about changing gasket sets etc
she proper cooked her head though apparently the sea was smoother then the face on the head lol
TBH i never used any on my 1.2 and it never leaked.

i trust my instinct and thats telling me there should be something between the metals :thumb:
Definently use some, as if you dont and it leaks its a headoff job......

i got the torque settings earlier and they are
25nm

havnt actually got a nm torque wrench only degree's one what could i do for the first setting??
Hmm, 25nm aint very tight, will have to just guestimate it, or buy/borrow a torque wrench.

Tbh 50% of garages i guarantee dont use torque/angle wrenches :thumb:
Shocking TBH. But I know most HG's, you struggle to pull the last bit
