I have lost my MOT Certificate along with my V5 and service history(long story) and I need to produce it at the cop shop. I spoke to my usual MOT tester and he said he can't print it for me as the system doesn't work.

The car was MOT'd in Derby so little chance of going back to the original MOT station.

How do I obtain the certificate, my producer was Sunday so i'm running out od time also.

Many hugs and kisses, Ryan

If you had the V5 you could look it up on mot.gov.uk. I'd be giving VOSA a ring or going to your local office/depot.

Go to the fed shop and explain the situation, with everything being computerised these days there is no need to have a producer anymore, so im unsure as to why you have one but make sure you go in asap and explain, then get onto dvla for replacements!

I'd do as Spud says but also type your details in here and bring it along. Can't hurt http://www.motinfo.gov.uk/html/home.html

It will say if you have a current MOT.

Andy's right. They don't know that yet. Mine's out ATM! (awaiting parts) Pikey I know, but what can you do!

I can't do that as I don't have the V5

So going to the cop shop is the best bet?

Sorry mate, never noticed you don't have the V5. Aye cop shop is the only route. Tried another MOT station?

i didn't have an mot certificate when i produced, i just walked in and said i haven't got the certificate, they said it hasn't got an mot then? i just said it has...along with other stuff, and they said they can choose to take me to court if they wanted for not producing, it wasn't a threat, it was just to inform me

actually, if memory serves me right, i produced about 3 days late too lol

TBH producers are tosh, its just another police method of inconveniencing people and reminding us who's supposedly in charge. They have records of whether or not you have tax, insurance, MOT etc. So why bother making you plod along to the local shop to produce the documentation? Ridiculous.

I went to the cop shop, he checked on the computer and yes indeed my car is MOT'd untill 28/2/10 why do I need a piece of paper to agree with their system?

I forgot my counterpart licence, not out of the woods yet as I think it all was in the same draw
