This is what happens when the 5th wheel doesnt lock on a loaded trailer, enjoy lol

5th wheel dos'nt lock? Wot dose that mean? how did this actually happen then?

lol.

When I did some warehouse work, the wagon drivers would lock the 5th wheel but leave the 'feet' on the trailer down and the airlines disconnected then try to pull away to check that the 5th wheel was actually locked. Is that not normal practise?

Yup, he did the two tugs forward thing, He then drove up that lane broke then as he pulled off again it fell off.

The two tugs thing is ok, but you should really get under and do a visual check :thumb:

lol i seen them last night abd lol'd , i used to work at "jost" who make 5th wheels had to put your name to every serial number that we made lol , people who get the ass's kicked if one failed lol

Damn! That lane was blocked for a while then?

couple of hours, they got an empty trailer parked up round the corner and used a 6 legger to suck it off that one then blow it into the other. Then they used a telly handler to lift the ****ed trailer onto some pallets and pushed the unit back under. Simples.
