Depends. Why not do other mods first, a cam change IS NOT easy.

any "meaningful" cam is going to need the ecu to be binned and replaced with an aftermarket one.

or swap to T40's if you fancy.... both ways get similar results but the ecu route would be the one of choice imho.

Fast Road as opposed to race or rally cam. Assuming you are keeping the std inlet & ECU etc. With a 4 branch manifold, filter & some headwork you will see some nice gains, but don't expect it to transform the car.

If you expect lots more speed/acceleration, bin the 1400 & go for a bigger displacement.

i had a piper cam(not sure what one),4 branch manifold-filter and a mongoose exhaust on my sri years ago--made 111bhp on the rollers,oh and it had about 120k+ on it,very good engines imo,
