My G40 before i fitted the mini cooper S supercharger runining crica 165bhp

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v499/royalblue8vgti/greginters.jpg

I then fitted the eaton supercharger

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v499/royalblue8vgti/Needstidying.jpg

Changed the boot badge

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v499/royalblue8vgti/30052006001.jpg

and had it remapped with the golf G60 injectors nearly running out of fuel (83% duty cycle) and put it on a rolling road (just) to see what she was putting down

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v499/royalblue8vgti/Howlow.jpg

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v499/royalblue8vgti/RRPLOT.jpg

189bhp and 162 lb/ft of torque from the standard internal 1272cc engine with stock head and exhaust manifold still in place.....check out the torque curve, amazing engine to drive

The sound it made was err, unique

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DoSiGv4ad1Y

I then decided i wanted to build a turbo sleeper so i went out and bought this mint bad boy

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v499/royalblue8vgti/polo.jpg

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v499/royalblue8vgti/polo1.jpg

to add to the sleeper look i got the most sleeper'ish wheels in the world

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v499/royalblue8vgti/Image146.jpg

but never really ran them if truth be told

Fitting a turbo into a mk2 polo was a little bit of a challange, this was why it had not been done before in the uk, as you can see, no room for a rad or intercooler in the usual place

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v499/royalblue8vgti/Image014.jpg

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v499/royalblue8vgti/Image025.jpg

the problem was solved with a 4 core mini rad fitted the the passenger side of the 2 1/2" downpipe

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v499/royalblue8vgti/Image052.jpg

the exhaust was 2 1/2" from the turbo to the down-turned diesel style tail pipe, again, to add to the sleeper appeal, car is wearing R888's in this picture

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v499/royalblue8vgti/Image099.jpg

here is the view most people got lol

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v499/royalblue8vgti/Image174.jpg

'It's just an '84 shopping car officer, borrowed it off my nan'

She also had a 100% locking plate type diff etc etc, at 1 bar of boost two other similar spec'd engines with the same turbo both made 191bhp, i was running 1.5 bar.....never put it on the rollers unfortunately, was ill on the rolling road day

drive by video, listen to both front tyres squealing

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XjcxTdCfV2M

and this one, 60-90 in 4th from below spool

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OJD3Zp56Hgk&NR=1

At a quick glance you wouldn't have a clue it had circa 300bhp per ton would you??

Hope you enjoyed the read

Really good write up there and some impressive/ingenious toys, love the sound of your old G40, where used to a couple round this way on a while back but not sure where they are now.

If your nova build ends up anywhere near as tidy or as clever as your polo's then its gonna be a good one:thumb:

one of my mates has a polo g40, its just getting the finishing touches now but breif spec is
low comp pistons, turbo, dta managnment, and bike throttle boddies , with nos too, he has also fitted a subframe in the front, coilovers and four pots to stop it lol, should be a little weapon when its out to play, cos it wasnt slow with the eaton charger it had before hand lol

All absolutely useless without a LSD, don't tell me, he's gone for a ko3 turbo??

think the turbo is a ko3 but not sure, i take polos dont put power down well if you think its useless without an lsd?
my old nova was well over 300 bhp and it was perfectly driveable even on the twistys

^^ what setup was you running? equal lenght shafts? Diff? or standard shizzle?

The front end suspension on a mk1-3 polo is from the late 70's, it's not triangulated at all......nova's run tie-rod bars which help but even so, without a diff and 300bhp+ in FWD form i bet yours was a handfull.

When i fitted the plate type diff to the beige beast it ment 3rd gear could be run through flat out without wheelspin in the dry whereas before it would just spin up. Corner exist speeds where just ridiculous compared to an open diff.....seriously recommend one to anyone with big bhp and who only use their car for track days/ weekend caining

here's a 1341cc mk3 polo running a relatively small ko3 turbo that is 200bhp without noz and 220 with with the same diff that i was running> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VTLYBk3a2rY&feature=player_profilepage##
