Manta A with a turbo lump of some kind is something of a must have project for me at some point I think :) Think an RB25/26 DET/DETT would be the most awesome conversion for it, love the idea of a muscle looking shell that blasts past and then sneezes lol Cat that goes woof :d Still have pics on my phone of a purple XE'd one that was on pistonheads a while back, gorgeous looking purple paint and a 190ish BHP XE :d

Tokyo Drift. Did you not see the Internet furor over that? Muscle drivers were all "wtf is he doing putting that shonky jap engine in there", and Jap drivers were all like "wtf is he doing putting that shonky car around that engine". Prepare to be universally hated.

^ WOW that's a Manta A? Those front headlamps (as well as the rest of it) are immense! and here's me been bodging 5 series jobs into my mates 'A'. lol

Good call on the Skystang from TD RJ. Any single turbo conversion as twins wouldn't clear the LHD steering rack gen? lol

As cool as V8's in muscle cars are. Very incidentally. There is something sweet as you say about having an RB or 2JZ etc in one. Old skool looks with modern Jap power and engineering. :)
As sweet as a blown straight 6 sounds though, nothing beats that V rumble!

my mate had a A reg volvo and the rust had set in bigtime. also the starter motor wiring was loose and done a mini smoke machine on start up

Was his a 300? They aren't built as well as the 'proper' ones, 700/900 etc and that's so true. Those things don't rust! Go back in time and get your mates N/S/R light please lol

The Manta isn't on the road yet, but shall be in the next month or so I think dude. Hopefully in time for the RR meet at Herrington Park. The lad who owns the black 360 in that pic also has a Clio valva engined 340, 1 soon to be turbo 360 GLT and got his lass to be a 340 mk2 from a mate of ours. So there will be at least 3 there plus mine, as you say though, hopefully the Manta! They kick ****.

it got rear ended so the boot never shut and that altered the rear as when you braked it acted as an air brake lol
