After struggling with fitting the engine, ive put the wings and bonnet back on the car just to have a look if there is any clearance issues, and surprise, surprise, the bonnet wont close without hitting the top of the engine, so i have a problem.

The conversion mount im using on the front drivers side has 3 holes in it, which hole should i be using? ive currently got it on the middle hole and the engine looks slightly to high, spirit level confirms this, although its not miles out just a tad, but it has to be right. I am also using solid alloy engine mounts does this make a difference??

any help would be grately appreciated

If the middle hole is to high use the lower hole...

The engines dont sit perfectly level anyway.

I know scott parker has a minor hole in his bonnet strengthening, I belive its somthing that some novas have, as i belive he also runs solid mounts.

If i could be bothered to level mine up, i can file up; the top the middle hole and that will make it sit level, but it hasn't caused any problems like that.....yet :)

Fors solid mounts it should be top one, for normal mounts, the top 2.

Mine is level on solid mounts and has no issues with clearance

i'm using mtech mounts and mine just hits the bonnet with that rubber thing around the distributorcover.

nothing major, a hammer did sort it.

are you using new a new rubber mount? my previous XE nova had a worn rubber mount, and that didnt hit the bonnet.
that one hit the gearbox on the tiebar, and the current one doesnt hit with the gearbox lol

See to me that looks way to high and is easy to see. Looks like its pointing down at the gb end.

lol did i called it the wrong name? i fail at technical english lol

that cover from the belt, there's a rubber around it. that hits on the bonnet slightly.

if you look closely just above the 'Z' from rat-stylz you see a small damage on that rubber thing.
