newbie says hello

Hello guys and girls,

I recently started having a little looky looky round the png site as i'm interested in doing an xe nova.......i had a silver gte with gsi bodywork about, err, 13 years ago now with cav 16v brakes, vectra alloys etc etc and i loved it.

I have recently helped a mate wire in his mbe management for his jenvey throttle bodied, 2.2litre (i think) xe with cnc ported head, dirty cams, 12:1 compression pistons all set up for nitrous and the 1/4mile......more of that another day when i get more details without trying to remember and getting it all wrong lol....

I'm a vw man at heart and i have created some fairly quick cars in the past, if you are interested then search 'the beige beast' and 'eaton'd polo' (would post links but not allowed yet!) on youtube to see my old turbo sleeper and my L reg G40 (hence the username) with a mini cooper S supercharger bolted on for a laugh lol

thanks, that car was a complete giggle, it would leave people in much more expensive, modern, heavy and ****e 'sports' cars in an open mouthed state as it was knocking on the door of 300bhp per ton, not bad for a 1.3 beige shopping car.......i used to wear a straw hat while driving it as well to add to the sleeperness of it, the 'dog is for life, not just for christmas' sticker helped too lol

I have a '90 spec white mk2 golf gti that i bought as a bare shell, i fitted the 2 litre 16v (an abf, vw's equivilant of an xe) from a mk3 16v into it along with the front subframe and rear axles for a wider track. I used the mk3 looms and fuse box etc so basically mk3'd the mk2....

It is stripped out, no carpets, dash etc etc.....this is how my nova will end up...basically a reshelled cav, calibra or astra 16v into a nova

no mate, unfortunately not, i bought it from a guy from aylesbury way if i remember correctly, payed £3k for it with 86k on the clock, quite a nippy little car, loved it, looked real nice
