Im looking at getting this set-up, is it any good or could I get something better for the £230 im spending on it? Im not spending any more than that, i7 is a no no.

Gigabyte GA-P43-ES3G P43 Socket 775 8 Channel Audio Gigabit LAN ATX Motherboard.

Intel Pentium Dual Core E6300 2.8GHz Socket 775 2MB Cache. (new chip)

Kingston 4GB (2x2GB) DDR2 1066MHz/PC2-8500 HyperX T1 Memory Kit CL5 2.2V

PowerColor HD 4770 PCS 512MB GDDR5 DVI VGA HDMI PCI-E Graphics Card

You should be able to get better than an E6300 I'd have thought.

Ram and motherboard are fine, though you could get the Kingston value stuff at 800mhz to free up some more cash for the cpu.

Whats the system for?

what do you want it for. just the internet and general usage, i would say that was fine and it would probably run a few of the newer games.
