WTF?

Unfair dismissal is something you would take up as a legal stance, why on earth do you think there would be an "online form" for doing it?! :wtf: lol

You need to look into an employment tribunal for unfair dismissal. The first step is to talk to your employer. Are you part of a union? If not, join one lol

Why do you feel you were unfairly dismissed?

He was saying to me on msn earlier on, that he was being made to drive unsafe and unroadworthy vans, upon asking for them to be repaired (things like brakes being made to actually work) they told him where to go:eek:

Jack

Jack

Not at all!

Unless it was worded as "we're going to fire you because you want us to make our vans roadworthy", and you have witnesses to that effect

Oh don't get me wrong, you could get them in a world of poo because of the unroadworthy vehicles, thats without doubt.

However, proving that was the reason you were made redundant is the hard part. Especially since you were made redundant THEN informed VOSA of the dodgy vehicles, it will look like a revenge exercise.

How long were you working there for?

5 years now,the biggest problem is, they were ok, now started to go downhill,

they would not even by some batterys or tyres for the vans, i even ended up taping a 110v lead up as they wont buy me a new one

i had similar probs when working at amtrak. they tried to make me drive a van without tax and with the pads that worn that the brakes would just constantly lock up. i almost crashed twice because of it and after the second time and almost ending up in a stream they finally changed the pads

Not necessarily, company policy varies wildly on the dismissal/disciplinary process.

General Baxter

lol VOSA FTW, if they deem them unsafe, the company wont have a leg to stand on :p

I'd turn back up to work for the time being.

They have not sacked you as nothing is in writing and you have not resigned.

...exactly, and if you argue it, they could turn it round and have you up for unauthorised absence.

Oh, i though that was like the "nationwide" standard un-written way of firing some one so to speak.

Good call NS, gross misconduct is instant dismissal yes.

Jack

Try working for the civil service, the only way to get fired outright is to either do a line (on your boss's desk. Whilst he's sat at it lol) or punch a colleague clean in the face.

I've been tempted by the latter a number of times lol

Mike
02-10-09, 09:39 PM
or punch a colleague clean in the face.

Some of our contractors, even that wouldnt get you fired TBH.

Dunno wether thats a good thing though really
