ive recently replaced a failed whell bearing and wot a b*stard it was, thing is im getting noise coming from that side of things again (nearside whell ) any clues anyone :?:
Look at ades post about a knocking noise! All explained there!

its not a knocking noise more of a quiet squeal!!!
dust in discs? Or bearing still!?

you may have done the bearing up tooooo tight
did you pack it with grease also?

i followed the haynes guide (front wheel), tightened up to torque, then slackened, then torqued to correct setting, i didn,t pack it wiv grease though, im it didn't mention that for the fron bearing

to my knowledge you always grease bearings - if there running dry then they will wear rapidly and will make a noise as you describe (whining) as it is metal to metal

it was a sealed unit, so u mean packing it around it so it eventually gets into it and continually lubes it?

yeah or try a thin oil i guess
