Bit confused over how to go about insuring 2 cars and using my NCB. Insurance is due on 17th Oct and I'll have 5 years NCB.

I am insuring a runaround (ins group 16 I think so not mega cheap). However I will want to insure the Nova again when it's ready (probably early 2010).

So do I use 5 NCB on the runaround and try and get insured on a highly modified XE Nova with 0 NCB? Or pay an extra premium initially by insuring the runaround with 0 NCB and save the 5 NCB for when the Nova is ready?

Or is the best option to try and find a company that will mirror NCB and who are also modification-friendly?

Thanks!

Ive got 5years no claims, and its in use technically, on both my cars...
So both my policies are quoted using 5years ncb.....

Sky mirror'd mine on the nova from my HIC policy on the Astra

So Sky will mirror NCB despite not having both cars insured with them? i.e. I insure one car with the cheapest place possible and the Nova with 5 NCB with Sky?

Hi,

as above, we should be able to 'mirror' your NCB. We will give you the same or a similar discount that you wouild have got with the 5 years NCB if it was free to use on the Nova policy. We are also modification friendly. We may be the most competitive on both cars so it is worth running through the details of both.

Feel free to send me your name and contact phone number by PM or email to ollief@skyinsurance.co.uk

Thanks

Don't think my area is too bad for insurance. Stop judging the whole of Notts cos you live in the ghetto lol
