1.2 downpipe 1.2i downpipe cheap de-cat

hi guys
got a 1.2i so has the cat on it!
would the 1.2 pre-cat down pipe and centre section bolt on to my manifold as need to keep lambda sensor??
looking to do a cheaper de-cat because sportex want £90
i can get the 1.2 downpipe and centre section for £30
will this work??? :thumb:

just get a exhaust system of another nova cut the ends off (you want the triangle ends) then measure a piece of pipe cut to size then weld it in

it will bolt to the manifold but the non cat is slightly smaller diameter so the back box might need wrenched up irrc

cheers guys not sure what im doing yet as will need the cat when mot is due!!! is the cat really restrictive or will it just produce sound?? :thumb:
