Hi guys can anyone help me with this?

I bought a c20xe and it came without wiring loom, its a dizzy type with coilpack and came with manifold with no lam sensor.

I purchased a early type loom and all seemed ok

Ive been going over everything to get my head round it before it goes in the car and have noticed a bit im unsure of , There is a vent valve (small box) on the side of the inlet with two hoses on (when i looked there is no plug on the loom for this?)

is this infact a lamda type engine with the wrong manifold ? can i just link the inlet manifold hoses and forget about this valve???

do the 2 hoses go before and after the throttle body/butterfly? Sounds like it could be ICV to me?

they seem to be in front of the throttle body one in and one out next to each other? the hoses are small type

Can't think what that'd be for to be honest, wrong side for any kind of vacuum/MAP sensor.

iirc you dont need to use it mate, i never did. ditch it and leave the pipe from the tb venting to atmosphere hth

it looks like the vent goes from the inlet through the sensor thing then back so if i just put the pipe between them it should be ok?

Its the carbon cannister tank vent thingy, just leave it plugged in so your ecu light isn't on

It says in the haynes manual for the mk2 astra that it is a vent valve, it is located on the right hand side (if facing from front) and is bolted on with the inlet manifold to the rear of the head.

I dont have the carbon cannister either, do i need it?
