oil light coming on

hi i have a weird problem with my car, i have checked the oil many times, and its fine, however when i corner aggresivly as you do somtimes on nice twisty roads in a nova, the light comes on ?!??? does anyone know why this happens?

mine was doing this until i changed the oil. not done it since. just because the level is ok doesnt mean the oil is ;)

Poss worn engine I would say - as I had one that did the same. Lasted years like it though, not unusual for one with 100k+

yeh mines done over 100k and i have changed the oil not so long ago. about a month

check the sender, sometimes they leek and screw up the conector.

i had the same problem on the way back from PVS pulled in to a service station,checked every thing and checked again,only to find that the wiring for the sender was catching on the drive shaft causing the wire to earth thus making the light flicker and come on , so into the shop for a big box of plasters job jobbed lol

i may be a mile out but its worth a shot :thumb::thumb:
