afm to throttle body hose

at the risk of sounding like a :tard: does the hose that goes from afm to trottle body have to be a certain lenght, as mine has split in several places and runs like a bag of spanners lol

Which actually makes me wonder, if you had a 1" long intake pipe and the AFM practically on top of the TB would it make the engine respond faster to increased airflow? lol
