erm check for damp in the relay, remove it from the car and leave it in your living room next to your fire.

c if it makes a difrence.............

if not try a replacement one, its the kinda thing u can pocket from a scrappy.........

Yeah ! my 1.2 nova is exactly the same. If u flick it up one then the wipers move up slightly n stop! i have to flick it up to the medium setting and then flick it down again to get that first setting to work!!!

Exactley!!

Same problem

I removed the link from the moter when i had to change the heater motor but i made sure i put it back correctly and in the same position so i don't think its that?

The heater moter has nothing at all to do with the wiper so leave it alone unless you need to replace it!

I had to remove the wiper to get the big plastic thing out at the back of the engine bay. My interior heater had packed up you see.

Like what every one else said it must be the relay.

How do i get access to the relays? i know its behind the fuse box but how do you get the box out?

Thanks

if u look at your fusebox, theyre attached to the BOTTOM of the fusebox - not behind :?

and they should just pull out

Sounds like the wiper motor to me, try the relay first though... Once the wipers are moving it works but not from stand-still, wiper motor or it's badly set up. :(

Wiper motor.
