Well Guys, since the Nova's been off the road i've gradually been fixing it up ready for when i can put it on the road, and now it's pretty much finished.
The first thing we did was sort the front and back panels. When we took the bumpers off we were in for a surprise. Apart from a couple of patches of surface rust the front panel was mint :d so sorted that easy, and there was just two or thee patches of rust on the rear panel, so we cut the rust out and welded new plates in, i do have pics but my phone won't connect to my laptop for some reason
The next thing was the wheel arches. The previous owner (my brother) had rolled the arches so the alloys didn't rub, but obviously this just made them rust more. So me and my dad ground the rust out, welded some new metal in, used filler on top, sanded down, then re-sprayed them. Decided to go this way of repairing them rather than replacing the panels due to money.
Anyway, some pics:

My dad then made up some paint to use on the vinyl round the bottom of the car, so once the rust on the doors was sorted out, he painted on the vinyls, i'm chuufed with the results :d:

The last thing was the bumpers, they were really faded and the colour on the front was starting to come off showing the plastic underneath.
So after looking on here, i decided to use Rover Hurricane Grey. I'm very happy with how they've come out, but the only thing i'm disappointed in is the fact that the paint is too shiny. So when i get some more money, i will probably get them sprayed in a more matt paint.

All that's left to do is raise the rear bumper up. Then once i get a job my plans are to lower it and lower profile tyres as i doubt it would go very low with the balloons on it now lol
Let me know what you think :):thumb:
