A reg Doors

I fitted a new door lock to replace the one that got smashed but the lock I have doesn't seem to fill the recess? It's like the original one had a filler that filled the recess - are there early and later locks?

I'll go and post pics now.:thumb:

Driver door and the surround is like a low profile tyre and you can see the rubber disc behind

but the pax door look cover / surround is like a big chunky tyre and you can't see the rubber disc

Both my mk1 and mk2 are like the second one.

Spot on - prized the old one off and fired it onto the lock

i found the cover of my lock in the gutter after some buffday had a big screwdriver in the lock. so the cover does come off lol
