Morning all...

I am thinking of spraying up some interior, can anyone shed any light on past experiences and practices?

If any one that has could post some piccies of their final product that would great!

use halfords vynle paint, i did my dash and every thing with it, looks brilliant even 3 months on,.... the only thing i found was to use gsi door handles as the paint does scratch abit on hard services, but is brilliant on the dash and general stuff what does not get a lot of contact !!

why not get the dash and undertrays flocked?

flocked? excuse my lack of knowledge.

got a Gsi dash, you don't fancy spending 100 quid on all the little black plastic bits, not when I've a new engine to find funds for!

have you got any pictures?

When it comes to spraying anything that clips off, dont.

It will look like you have sprayed anything that will clip off & look pants. The lilihood is you might like it now, but it'll look awfull when you get fed up of it.

if your doing things that will always be touched, best to go down the plastic primer, cellulose/2 pack route imo

i know it's not a nova but i sprayed all of my bm interior. all the black plastics and roof/pillars were grey. just used normal matt black spray and it came up perfect. hasnt flaked off one bit in 6 months...

just the normal black you spray bumpers with. the pics dont do it justice really, totally transformed my whole interior and it looks as good now as the day i did it.

did you prep as a bumper or another way?

for the doorcards i sanded them a little bit and primed but for the rest i realised it wasnt necessary so just sprayed them without prep lol

nothing should ever touch the panels really, and IF they ever do flake off all you need to do is spend a few minuted re-doing that panel.

just give the shelf reports a try and if you like how they've turned out, try the rest of the car. some people on here have even sprayed the floor carpets.

floor carpet and parcel self come up brilliant as it stains the carpet so is impossible to remove,....

i also sprayed my old five door door cards as they were a ****tlygrey and they come out well (a bit sharp to start with but wear in nicly) (Y)

I sprayed my interior from a faded brown to black. Sparayed the dash, parcel tray, centre console and bits like keep fit window winders and door grabs.

I just cleaned them as you would, wiped them down with white spirit/ methlyated spirit etc to remove grease, dust & dirt and used standard halfords satin black paint.

Been now 4 years since I did it and absolutley no issues.
