Insurance is up for renewal and has gone up slightly on what I paid last year when I had the XE Nova. Renewal is £409 fully comp through Brentacre which I think is a lot for a 28 year old with clean license, no accidents and 4 years no claims (8 years on my other car).

Car is an XE Corsa GSi with alloys, filter, exhaust, coilovers, big brakes, value of £2k and is parked on the drive. Limited mileage of 5k.

Rang Flux and they were £500+.

HIC were £900+ lol

Performance Direct wouldn't even quote me properly as it would be a 50% loading for the engine on a totally standard Corsa GSi (which was £650 through them) plus loading for wheels etc on top of that.

Really not impressed. Apparantly I don't seem to realise what a high performance car I have got

To top it all renewal is also due on the LET Nova on the same day and that has gone up £50 this year to £690 fully comp through Flux. Decided against ringing anyone else on that after the above performance on an XE car.

Not impressed to say the least, going to be an expensive month!!

HIC also wanted £1600+ on the LET last year, hence another reason me not bothering asking them this time.

Don't insure cars in the Northwest and don't do agreed value so no use for either car unfortunately.

Not quite right there.. we have many, many customers in the Northwest but we have some postcode exclusions is some Northwest postcodes, 'M' Manchester being one of them.

Also, with regards to agreed values, we only offer these to customers who have been with us for 1 year with a certain underwriter.
