View Full Version : Which carb to choose?

In my SRaloon i,m running a 1.4 sr engine with a 4 branch,cam and full exhaust system.The problem ive got is with the carb and wanted peoples different opinions on both the weber 32/34 and twin 40s as i,m not sure which is the best route to go down and which gives the most power.Any info muchly appreciated guys

all depends on how much youve got to spend. 32/34 is an upgrade on the standard one and then twin 40's is an upgrade on them. if youve got the money for the 40's get them for sure

It depends what you're looking for really...

As far as power is concerned, twin 40s for sure. Worth it for the noise too! But well over twice the price of a 32/34 DTML.

The 32/34 will only give a small gain but is much nicer to drive than the standard pierburg, maybe more economical too.

I plonked a 1.6 carb on mine years ago lol
