View Full Version : Fitting 17's
If you went for some ET 45-49mm offset 17" alloys, and wanted to lower the car 60mm, would you have to do any other arch work other than folding the lip back?

I would have thought u will have to take a large hammer to the inner wing.
I think u will find u will need a 45mm offset, but wait to c wot other people say first

45mm gets my vote also 8)
yer gota b et45 coz aparantly if u go ne higher (i.e. 49 correct vaux offset) the wheels will rub on the shox at the rear!
iv got et45 +mine rub veryslightly n e way so...! mines lowered 60 tho
no need for hammerin the inner wing (wel i didnt) just the arches!!
i can get full lock both ways wiv no rubbin atal

Stick to alloys in 7" thickness, and an et of 45mm.
Mine's lowered 60mm, on 17's (et45mm), and all i had to do was cut the rear arch 'lips' back (but not over the weld, as it'll need re-welding/painting).
