HELP! nova merit mk1

does a nova 1.2 8v merit have the stuff 4 a cd player as there aint a hole 4 1 only this tray does any 1 know if it has the wires 2 connect a cd player ??

Firstly, bin the text typing. I had to read that three times to try to work out what the hell you were saying.

The tray should be removeable leaving a hole for a normal sized stereo, and you should find the wires behind the dashboard. All you will probably be missing is an aerial so you'll need to buy one and route the wire for it.

Should all be there, event he speaker wires. Vauxhall didnt make seperate looms for the bog spec models. There will probably even be speakers in the dash, but thats not definate, they may need to be added, but im confident the wiring will all be in place.

You will have to add door pods and wiring for those. No nova came as standard with door speakers, so you'll have to source aftermarket pods or get busy with the fiberglass.

speakers can be cut into the doors on the bottom left corner but check before cutting and you could take a feed from the fuse box.

yep :thumb: the only things to watch out for is the door middle hinge strap and window winder mech.

it depends on the year of car iirc,mines an 87 d reg and didnt have the wires there so ive had to run my own.Also if your removing the tray could you pm me if your selling it ?:thumb:

Wrap a screwdriver in some cloth, or use something plastic and gently pry it out.

I'm always of the opinion you should run fresh wiring for audio. Most of the time it works out simpler than fagging around with the existing stuff.
