Hiya peeps :D this is my first ever post on the forum (being a new member) so please excuse me if this question has been asked before.
I own a MK2 Nova and have recently put some 15" Fox evo 5's on to replace the standard 13" steelies.
The problem is that the car looks high at the front and low at the back so if I was to have a 40mm drop all around would the back end of the car be rubbing the wheels with the front end still clear. :(
Hope any of you can help with my prob

Dunno what the offset is!?!

But if its between 45 and 49 then you will be OK!

But if its 42 or below then it will rub if its not all ready, more so if there is peeps in the back!

Look on the inside of the wheel for an offset unless someone on here can tell you what fox's are!?

Cheers mate for the reply
I bought the wheels from Halfords and all they asked me was what the year of reg the car was, and if it had been lowered.
So all I can guess is that they supplied with a 49mm offset. The only thing that I do know is that I have 195/45/R15 tyres so I think that will aid in the lowering.

the back of the car is low??? It is usually the other way around.(or do you mean the space in the wheel arch) You may need minor arch mods, but nothing too serious

Yeah if you look at the car from the side the back looks lower than the front, but there appears to be the same amount of space from wheel to the top of the arch.
The reason for askin this question was that I remember seeing some guy who advertised his nova on the internet saying that he only needed lowering springs for the front as the rear was lowered 20mm already. Therefore I thought that if I were to go for a 40mm lowered all round then the back would rub whereas the front wont.
Thanks again for all your help :D :D

i've got a mk2 nova and mines lowered 40mm all round and its fine. no rubbin or anything, unless i'm 4's up. yours should be fine

Yeah I agree with having 4 up.I have had my car for nearly a year now and until recently I have stopped having a full load of people as my uncle reckons it is knackering the suspension and isnt doing the car any good.
So I hope that damage is not done

id advise a GMAX suspension kit or Bilstein.

for a guide of how to do it when you get there
