just a try to see if maybe someone can help, before i have to unwravel the main loom to find out..
the black wire going into the fusebox for the cooling fan; where does it come from, start from.. ecu??

ECU- fusebox - fan itself

i snipped x2 black wires from the old ecu loom..

car ran an x14xe, but same as any sri/gte/gsi nova.

Ive traced the black wire from the fusebox to the fan itself, just cant see where it all starts..
in a bit of a tizz.
thanks.

The ignition barrel.
To the fusebox, through the fuse, to the rad fan.

And the brown-brown/white on the rad switch then provides the earth

ok, thats fine.. had a feeling.
so its a switched earth then? - an earth is created at a certain temp, then fan on..

I think ad you did say i didnt have to connect that ecu wire (checking mbe connections) lol

Aye, just leave the rad switch controlling the fan.

The switch switches are a certain temp, which then earths the fan motor....
