Thinking about my interior for the Puntova and an considering a custom dash panel...


Basically a blank strip of aluminium with just dials - volt meter, fuel, oil, revs and spoeedo.

Seen some nice ones but most seem to be electronically powered (speedo etc).

So - has anyone every built a custom cluster using after market dials, whats involved re wiring (bearing in mind the Nova speedos cable driven).

Any wiring diagrams etc would be greatly appreciated as well as suggestions for dials...

I've got a digi dash but thinking of something different...

**** i had a video i think burgo or adam sent it me, some one on mig built his own, 4 52mm ones and 2 80mm ones, all in a mk1 dash where the normal clocks go, but i deleted it along with my huge stash of pron :(

edit: do NOT put speedo into google with saftey turned off lol

Wiring would be easy, the speedo shouldnt be too hard, bearing in mind your need to find one that deals with 8 or 16 pluses (iirc) and use the digi dash/SPI transducer.

All the other wiring is simple, volt gauge, temp gauge, fuel gauge and oil pressure are all 2 wire usualy, plus any lights etc.

Basic electrics for all off it.

Those dials were on ebay iirc,

they were at 77 quid when i looked last...
