Same here, i've been to Dalyan the last 3 years, getting older now so prefer it a bit quieter!!

yes, ive been to marmaris and i loved it. Watch out for people harassing you tho trying to get you to buy something.

my sister just got back, said its quality, it only happened nce was my sis and her before been like "harassed" saying like come in you buy you buy and that lol, but most shops are descent and everyones sound, they went in to a clothes shop and the man came over with drinks and that, and they ordered 2 beers and he said what spirits do you like, they answerd and the bar owner came over with the free drinks and had a chat, il probably go next year, as the clothes are fake but dirt cheap and seems descent out there

I loved it in Bitez,we stoped in Toloman apartments 100yards from the beach,its a little old fishing village,i went im 1998.its a million miles from Marmaris.

Me and the wife wanted to go back this year,but we went spain.:(

British tourists get killed in loads of different countries, so don't avoid it for that.
I've never been, but I know a few that have and they had a great time, apparently it's really cheap as well.

I went to Marmaris at the end of August.

Fantastic holiday.
The exchange rate was 2.4 tl to the £ at one stage while we were away so everything's dirt cheap.

Night time temp was 25 degrees.
Daytime was 38 degrees average but by the pool reached 47 one day.

Turkish people are very friendly.
If you don't want to go in their shop or go on their excursions just say no... they soon get the idea.

Oh and haggle for your drinks. As one bar will sell cocktails buy one get one free at 10tl... 10m down the road you'll pay 13tl.

If you're taking a chick with you then definitely go to the market.
Its a short walk from the big statue of the famous dude.. that's where you can satisfy her handbag needs. Barter hard... do not pay anymore than 15tl a bag. If they won't come down in price just walk away and they'll call you back.

We stayed in the Kayamaris hotel.. bit small but free alcohol as we were all inclusive.

The sea is nice to swim in but the bottom is a bit dirty with rubbish and stuff.

Oh and half way along the sea front there's a bar called Blackpool... they have free loungers on the beach if you buy a drink. If you go there... tell them Michelle from Cosmos sent you for some free drinks. ;-)

Erm, just because some turks killed two leeds fans doesn't mean the whole country is bad.
If that's how you feel, maybe you should emigrate to some remote island somewhere as people get killed in every country, and there are innocent people in Britain that have been killed at football matches too, it's just the way of the world!
