Hi,

Just a question thats been bugging me for a while, what are they actually classed as, i would think a retro, because they are not quite a classic yet, but they are not the normal run of the mill either.

Thanks
Nath

I commonly refer to them as 80's sh1tboxes

80s stuff is old skool and 90s is mid skool so with it coming up 2010 i think 80s stuff will become classic or something, and 90s will be old skool.

A car !?

Seriously though, My MK2 XR2 which is a very late 1989 is close to being classed as a classic in the eyes of Ford publications.

So, I'd say Retro, or just generally a crap little car.

I thiught the rule of thumb was that a car became a classic when it was 25 years or older then the next step on is vintage.

The MK1 Nova is officially classed as the practice car upon which the superior MK2 was developed.
