View Full Version : Any Rugby Players??
As title?
Anyone on here play? And if so, what position?? Who for?
Got a big big game tomorrow in the RAF cup and i'm just getting myself a bit psyched up watching Big Hits on youtube!
I absolutely love big crunching tackles, proper smashing big hits. So you can hear the air being forced out of their lungs!
I'm soooo excited!
I play 6 or 7 (Open or Blindside Flanker to any n00bs) for the RAF, My RAF Station, and a Civvy team too. 5 days a week playing or training!
I play but so far I haven't played a game due to working weekends, therefor I also haven't been assigned a position yet :( in training I usually end up being the lumbering fool running as far as I can with the ball, then get smashed by the biggest guy on the other "team".
LOL
So you're 'The Fall Guy'
But they are totally different positions?? You must be one hell of an allrounder. But by the big hits comment you must prefer playing 6.
Fundamentally the same position
I prefer 6 yes :)

wrong...i spent years playing rugby, its a massive gay fest...sweaty men feeling each other up, showering together and drinking piss in the uni bar while doing press ups.....
football has a bit of class ;)

LMFAO, football has class? A load of men running after a pigs bladder and crying when someone tackles them is class? Football had class in maybe 1930 but now its a bunch of overpaid ****ers limping after a tackle takes them down but then running as soon as they see a space to score a goal.
Anyway I'll just be over here with Baxter and Stoo playing with our odd shaped balls.

biting on fake blood so you can go sit on the bench?.......you know the rest lol
Proper players in proper leagues don't bite on blood capsules ;)
Rugby is so much better than football, real men getting on with a tough game rather than the fairies (some of) who play football.
Don't get me wrong, back in the day football used to be good but now, with players like Drogba, Eduardo and Ronaldo who want to cheat to win...

I absolutely love big tackle
So why do you still bunk up with Lee lol
my dad use to play rugby on the police team. Until he twisted his ankle 180 degrees whilst playing. He had a meccano set in his leg for 10 years.

hooker when i used to play,
I might have known this would turn into a Rugby v Football thread.
That wasn't the question.
If it was, the thread title would have been 'Which is better, Rugby or football?'
So keep it to yourself and stick to the question yeah :)
So, at the moment, we have a front row and a flanker haha!
Played one game at scrum half and the rest at centre can't remember if it was inside or outside.
Well it seems i've moved position now!!
2nd Row, or Lock as it's sometimes known!
Project massive is well underway!

Also played a few games for Somerset, though got a bit pi**ed of with training all week then playing Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday!

I played right prop for my school then got picked to play for my towns under 16s, I played one match for them until the docs changed my asthma meds and pretty much stopped me doing anything physical for a year.
Right?
Tight head right??
Pretty ears ;)
