this just started last night about 10:30pm and before that it was fine, what happens is when I approach a junction and slow down the car baisically cuts out just over 1000 revs or some where round there, my brother sais the throttle cable will need adjusting, is this the cause and will it be easy to adjust ? cheers

I dont think your throttle will need adjusting as your car should tick over at 1000revs easily.

Check the obvious first.... see that no plug leads have come off & that leads havent broke, your dissy is in good condition.

Could be as number of things but id check them first.

it's not the leads, fuel, earths etc and yes it does feel lumpy when I'm driving it as if it's just going to die on me or something, I'll have a look at it, cheers for the help people :D :D :D

i had a similar problem on a ren 19 1721cc the problem was the vacuum hose had fallen off the back of the carb. bitch to get too, didnt notice for ages couldnt find it! put it back on twice after that some reason kept slipping off so just clamped it on with mini jubilee. what engine you got?
