Right here we go,

It's been 5 years since I owned a Nova, and that was when someone got my SRi for silly money! (Long story!)

So after driving around a Brand spankers Corsa for a while, I decided to upgrade and started hunting for a Nova.

I came across this little beaut off of Autotrader, advertised for £150, went to have a look, got her in the end for 125 and was a very happy bunny :thumb: I intend to get all the parts to turn her into a GSi alike, with the intention of picking a GSi in any condition at a later date and restoring with existing bits (if needed!).

After getting her back via a lorry I managed the following pictures.

Took her down for her MOT, and came back with a short list of problems, mainly sills needed welding with rear suspension struts, changed wheel bearings and sorted out emissions!! Sorry about the darkness, but you can just about see where the welding is.

With her passing the MOT, it was time to start playing, I had managed to purchase the following in the passing week:

- 2x Rear GSI seats
- One GSi Passenger Seat
- One GSi Driver cover...
- Cavalier Alloys
- Clocks
- 16v Grooved discs and calipers
- 40mm Spax Shocks and Springs.
- GSi Dash
- GSi Steering Wheel
- Cam belt and Air Filter

Got the front and rear GSi bumper sourced, along with painted :( skirts, but they will have to wait until pay day!!

To this day all the above have been fitted bar the dash and brakes, but I am hoping to do these in the next couple of weeks.

No interior shots for present but this is what she looks like at the moment, a bit more T-Cut and she will be red again!!

Next things to do:-

Window has packed up my side so will be changing to electric windows, and whilst im there putting the central locking in.

Give her a service (ASAP)

Get GSi Bumpers and Skirts and get them sprayed.

Obtain as many GSi Interior odds and ends I can.

I'm hoping to garage her this winter to strip her out and her strengthened for new engine in the coming months!

Pretty basic but glad to be back in the game!!

IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO OFFER ANY ADVICE OR SELL ME SOMETHING VIA PM THEN PLEASE DO SO TO USER JACKBD1, THANKS!!

looks like a nice project but t-cut is old hat and crap your best using a clay bar. if you take the spring out the hazard light switch then it will be a pull and push switch and no need for a bit card.

Clay bar is for cleaning paintwork, not taking faded layers off  They usually mop up quite well, 1st page of my project thread shows mine:thumb:
