I've got compomotive MO's with 195/45/15 tyres et49, Ive also got 80mm rear springs (to fit) for those who have these springs fitted, will I need to roll the arches?

Any info much appreciated :thumb:

I have 195/45/15's on a 40mm drop and they rub with nobody in the back at times and rub like mad even with 1 person so id say 80mm is a definite

Ive got some 14 inch steelies and a stripped interior, lowered 100mm, it scraped before i rolled it.

rolling it only takes like 10 minutes, why dont you just do it anyway.

Easier to get a body shop to flatted them and seal them right, well you can do it.
Warm them up then use a hammer and dolly to flatted the lip back. Then eal it so water cant get in.

you dont have to roll them you can just cut away the inner edge of the arch under neath >>> if you look under were you wheel arch is the be like a lip just air chisel (dont use a grinder) about 30-40cm awaylong ways and it should not catch im running 80mm rear on gsi fans on 195 50 15s hope this advise is useful :thumb:

I would warn against cutting the lips off. As its opened the two skins up leaving a nice way for water to get it and rust to start.

Cutting the whole lip of will also weaken the arch if you were to get any car park dings etc it will crease easier

80mm here and speedlines and no rolling or cutting needed

just get some pliers and bend the lip back a bit then put a slash in it with a hacksaw and a slash further down then get a hammer and whack it around and put a load of undersealer on to stop the water. ive just done mine and it took 10 mins.

i also cut my other side off like that guy in the picture did but i onl did that because it was rotten, the one i rolled was a brand new quarter.

i was running 195 45 16s on my nova with seriously cut rear springs i think more than 80mm and it didnt rub at all i think most of it is about the offset of the wheels your using

195/45/15 6J ET49 Vauxhall wheels don't catch my arch lips but they do rub very badly against the inner wheel arches! Watch out for that

Lowered 60mm all round and never anyone in the back!

its mainly due to the back end having a 10mm tollerence on it :s so you might get lucky and have lots of space, or you might be unlucky and have a lot less space than others.
