Hello chaps everyone alright???
been having a think and its got to be worth £650 i should think but i am open to offers so why not try me
well seeing if anyone would be interested in my nova i havent had it long and am contemplating selling it now almost finished as my dream car has come up for sale at a bargain price.
where to start,
mk1 nova in china blue started life as a 1.2 4 speed, bodywork isnt the best could do with another wing, few dents in one door, rust appearing on arches and rear quater has a few marks, but underneath is a really solid car very very clean.
plenty of mot and tax.
i have just spent the last couple of weekends putting in an sri 130 8v into it, its all running and on the road but have a few teething troubles such as:
it doesnt start when its hot- think its just the starter motor as i have checked everything else.
no air filter on it yet- currently running a bit of mesh
cooling problem when driving along, it has a brand new rad, brand new water pump, brand new thermostat- the donor car had the cleanest anitfreeze and was fine down the road. Now its in the nova as soon as i get going the gauage rises up and gets warm. As soon as you pull up to a stop the gauge drops right down and its perfect. Ive check everything but think it maybe the water pump, as like a school boy error i didnt check it to the old one and just wacked it in. so should be a simple fix.
oil leak from sump gasket-new sump gasket will be supplied
exhaust catches on beam axle.
apart from that i dont think there is anything else that really needs doing??
its had loads of new bits
cambelt, water pump, thermostat, rad, fan swtich, inner cv joints, oil and filter, coolant, plugs etc
it has the recaro style seats in it from the cav and the brake upgrade and the 14" alloys painted in black all taken from the cavalier.
i dont think there is much else??
