Im sorry but no matter which angle you look at it, its ****, the ordinary man/woman in the street isnt going to admire your car for being a rusty sh1t heap. PC plod isnt going to be interested in your efforts to make you car look like a rusty tin can after you've been pulled over. rat look = car that has feck loads spent on the way it goes for the owner to then afford the how it looks bit... eg its a semi sleeper looking device rather than a modern car with an average way it goes and then the owner has spent lots of time and effort on trying to make the car look unloved (when in reality its way overboard and is just silly)

IMO rat is all about spending money on the engine, running gear etc, and not giving a damn about the bodywork. Usually applied to older cars that look incredibly unloved from the outside.

Making a car look like a ratmobile, to me, defies the point of rat look. Expending effort on the looks of the car (however you've made it look; dodgy paint, rust, stickers, etc) goes against my personal definition of rat.

There's a poverty spec nuclear-waste green saxo round here. Lowered, VTR wheels, and rusty bonnet. Looks absolutely retarded.
