Does anyone else have one of these loyalty cards with Shell?

According to their site, if you buy more than 150 litres of V-Power each quarter, you'll be invited to join the V-Power Club (with which you get more points per transaction over the std fuel card):

Customers who buy at least 150 litres of Shell V-Power or Shell V-Power Diesel per calendar quarter should be invited to join in the following quarter. We will send you a new card if you qualify.

Hmm.

01/07-30/09/08: 428.48 litres
01/10-31/12/08: 464.22 litres
01/01-31/03/09: 502.35 litres
01/04-30/06/09: 303.48 litres

And currently in this quarter I'm on 191.07 litres. Sooooo where's my V-Power card you badger licking monkey pleasuring ferret nibblers?

That's what I thought. Now call it 6p a litre, sound better? lol

edit: sure it's 2.50 after buying 250 litres? sure I worked it out to be about 6p a litre and that obviously doesn't work out lol

Well I recently had 1700 points converted to an £8 voucher. Seen as I'm buying the fuel regardless, any reward is good.

I got the V-power card. I think you only get double points if you solely fill with V-Power, as I have filled my mrs car using my card and only put boggo diesel in it and didn't get my double points. I may be mistaken though

Correcto, only VPower and VPower Diesel would get double points

I disagree. When I can afford the treat, my car runs a lot differently on V-power. It doesnt pop & bang from the exhasust for a start.

my Evo is way better on V-power than most others, i tried that tesco 99 and although its cheaper the Evo did quite alot more mileage on shell so although more pennies was still better value for money

not sure what V-power diesel is all about

their boggo normal fuel makes my cars run crappier, the Vpower makes them even worse.

tesco 99 is only used when a 5p voucher is in hand lol and even then its only marginally better, which is no surprise on an N/A that has no ability to advance its ign beyond that of what it would have been calibrated to.

My old man uses vpower derv and the BP version, claims he gets 20 miles more per tank... OHHHHHH well worth the 5p/l over 60L then lmao

RE V-Power diesel, I get another 60-80 miles per tank when using it, which makes it cheaper. Also, it runs like a bag of spanners on tesco fuel.

My 1.2 was the same, pretty sure it's been called kangaroo fuel more than once. Saw a thread a while ago where someone had running issues after putting a tank of tesco fuel in and they magically disappeared when it was filled up again lol

I use tescos boggo fuel all the time and have never had a problem, even when they got a contaminated load in last year.
Everytime I put shell in the cars run like dogs lol

Celica runs on VPower at the mo, the MPG did go up over that of Tesco SUL (we're not special enough to have 99 here). I reset teh ECU each time I change fuel grades though.

Nova just gets whatever is cheapest and loves it lol. I doubt it is capable of advancing the timing or anything, and its N/A so wouldn't really benefit from higher RON. Might benefit from some lambda sensors though lol
