Thinking about getting rid of one of the Novas in favour of a far more motorway friendly mk2 GTE since i'm currently doing a 500 mile round trip to see the mrs every other weekend.

Can anyone recommend a good forum for info and advice or any add any gen themselves?

wish i still had my mk2 gte :(

Great cars, just like a big nova really

Obviously just check for rust like a nova, they also split the bulkheads on the drivers side of the bay

Good luck in finding a good one, i'm still looking. They rot more than a Nova. :)

I had a MK2 GTE, was an amazing car, really comfortable and nice to drive considering how old they are now. Hard to find a good clean one and expect to pay a good sum of money if you do. As has been said they rust everywhere that theres metal, just check everything over if you look at one including the floorpan.

just get a mk3 td. it will cost pence & run forever. a mk2 is just going to get murdered on long trips.

Should probably also have mentioned I want something that will reward when getting abused on the finest roads of the Scottish Borders and Northumberland National Park lol

Seriously considering a mk4 td though to be fair
