Very very clean!! but the inner nerd in me says it should have the floppy style mirror. And that interior is a pretty rank colour but at that price its a bargain!

Front valance looks a bit scabby. No engine bay shots either... and yeah, wrong mirror.

and FFS why do people still think this:

and tax till dec. 09 after wich a tax exemption certificate can be applied for as she is 25 years old
If I was a muppet, I'd be a bit narked buying that thinking I'd get free road tax.

Still, would go nice with a V6 in it lol

A) Wing mirrors no big deal rally.
B) Yeah a bay shot would be nice, but meh it's an old car, if all els is original cant see it being that bad (bar bits you can see)
C) Yep this pisses me off no end, the guy i bought the 1.2 off tried this too, lol I said no mate it's for cars pre 72 Registered! He looked at me funny..
( can you imagine how much money the government would loss every year as more classic cars went over 25 years old!) lol

sorry. the best way i have thought of so far is to put the nova shell on a bmw or mx5 chassic as these are similar size to the nova and saves the hassle of moving heater matrix wiring etc etc. i did consider buying a classic vaux but want to do something a bit different. to many front wheel drive cars in the world:roll:

MX5 has a slightly shorter wheelbase. I think the best option is to use a bedford rascal rear axle..?

godfrey
17-09-09, 07:08 PM
a rascal not many spare parts laying around for them. if it was an sr sri gte or gsi i would not be hacking it up. less hacking involved if i go down the 4x4 gearbox route and blank the front drive shaft holes for the front. anyway heres some pics .nova no1http://i786.photobucket.com/albums/yy146/sexytig7/035.jpghttp://i78http://i786.photobucket.com/albums/yy146/sexytig7/038.jpg

godfrey
17-09-09, 10:39 PM
well theres about 4 or 5 different ways in which to do it but i havent decided yet dont worry about it not being finished my dad and i are both mechanics with an unhealthy addiction to late nites when a car needs to be finished:) .
but i will not have the cash to do it until next year. anyone know where i can get some mk1 xr2 arch extensions possibly fibre glass ones.

SRimon

If you have to wide arches, you could try proper group 2 rally forest arches. mate had them on a mk1 fiesta once, looked pukka.
