Just wondering what you guys would recommend?

Shall I mesh the grill and my bumper before or after the respray!? Got the option to do either and wondering what you'd recommend!

Know it kinda doesn't matter, but whats the best way?

Cheers

might aswell leave t out m8, but depends, if your respraying it your self or letting a company do it, if your leting a company do it put it on, let them work for the money and tape it up.

leave it off then add afterwards - saves on masking it off.

thats the sprayers problem init, but yeah you might end up with a better job if you make it easier for em

i would even suggest spraying the mesh

even if its silver. cos it will go dull in time...........

I will be spraying the mesh silver over its original colour n e way to help protect it and make it stay shiny!

Wiggie, use your head! If I ass the bodyshop around and waste their time, it will cost more! If its a cheaper spray job if they dont have to mask it all off etc then thats the way to go!

Basically, my uncles mate is a sprayer and is good! I will get it dirt cheap n e way but if I strip the car of the bumpers, lights etc etc and then refit and mesh etc after it will be cheaper as I wont have to pay him for that time!

Another few questions are:

Fit the Gsi sideskirts b4 or after? The car is going black, so they will probably be sprayed too! Would it make more sense to fit the clips and then spray car and them and them attach them?!

Dont want n e red showing now do we!

Same goes for spoiler!

fir clips, spray car, fit skirts.

If skirts are good nik leave grey plastic - will give a little contract to the car.

I sprayed mine and theyre all shiney - look good but when i see proper gsi's /gte's they seem to look that little better imo

Each to their own.

Yes Ade mate agree there!

Just not sure if the whole car is black and they are that grey colour! Would be ok with grey splitter too but my bumper will be sooooo low, no splitter will even fit!

Also saves paint from stone chips when left!

I will have to see! Probably go black though coz cant see it looking right on black car!

rob cox has a VERY sweet black nova, and his skirts are sprayed up black too.

on a black car id go for sprayed, other lighter colours id tend to go for standard issue grey

i think take as much off as possible, theres always room for error with masking, as well as spraying in a ridge where old meets new
