Its called 17to40. i got a quote on there, with the exact same details as ive entered on any other site, not lying about anything. It quoted me more than half of what other sites have. i just wanted to let other younger people on here know, because i know what its like not being able to afford insurance.
your right mate i just got the cheapest quote ever and i told complete truth which is good as it wont void the insurance if i ever want to claim
Interesting, I've just been through a quote on there and all it said for mods was a simple yes/no to "is the car modified". I suspect whatever quotes you're given are subject to further details...
LMFAO £640 for the Celica. Thats more than TWICE what I currently pay with Sky! Also includes an excess of £470, which is obscene!
lol lol lol lol

£552 was the best they could offer me, just paid my deposit for flux, years insurance for £390.
" Upto 5 modifications can be supported" :(

lol engine conversion counts as one?
engine conversion, intake and exhaust, even get a remap on there and something else (nos/turbo?) lol
you could just about squeeze engine conversion (without any mods) suspension, brakes, alloys and a gsi bumper or something... One of the insurance companies I phoned up though stopped me halfway through listing mine lol

I didn't even get that, just a yes/no!

This is true, but I'm certainly younger than 40!

Click on the "modified car insurance" on the site before you go through a quote or anything.

so were the sideskirts, and the colour coded bumper lol
I got quoted £200 more than im paying now anyway

Unless it was a gsi I think they're not standard, some insurance companies get funny about optional extras too
Didnt work out any cheaper for me :(
£1,771.80 with 17to40
and on the list Quinn Direct was cheaper again with £953.07

I've only just turned 24! lol
its not cause there old, what insurance company in there own mind will be willing to offer insurance cheaper to 17 year olds than 25+, none.
something will prob be fishy with it like the braided hose glitch on gocomapre
Nothing to do with being old. Just ran a test quote on Admiral and then again on that site. 17, 0NCB, 1.0 Nova, 10k/year, TPFT, £200 vountary excess. Used my address (A grade postcode).
Admiral: £950, excess total £450 (i.e. £250 compulsory)
17to40: £1464. And the excess was £1,000 LMFAO
Just proves, whats an insurance win for some is a lose for others.

When it comes to insurance, you pay for the risk that you present to the insurer. Whilst some will be cheaper than others, I would be worried if one was significantly cheaper than all of the rest of the companies you are getting quoted by. Cheapest may not necessarily be best.
