Hi,
Well i've really only had one nova but only had it for 2 weeks due to losing my job i had to sell ( still on here ) was just scanning ebay and saw this :

http://i.ebayimg.com/09/%21BZ-%29bcQBWk%7E$%28KGrHgoH-EIEjlLl09%21jBKpU-TCR-Q%7E%7E_12.JPG

http://i.ebayimg.com/01/%21BZ-yGJQ%21mk%7E$%28KGrHgoH-EEEjlLlyOEvBKpV%21Moqlg%7E%7E_12.JPG

http://i.ebayimg.com/23/%21BZ-%29vS%21B2k%7E$%28KGrHgoH-EUEjlLlu%29UgBKpU+NTdJg%7E%7E_12.JPG

The item description was a funny read in the end i bought it for £180
It has 4 Months mot and 3 months tax
This is some of the write up :

BTW... the gearbox is a bit sloppy, but anyone who's been married for over 10 years will be used to stirring a sloppy box

There's no stereo, so perfect for those X-factor wannabe contestants who want to practice while going to pick a 6 pack up

The pics really don't do the car justice - it's actually shonkier than it looks.Front offside wheel bearing is past it's best and is a bit noisy - the effect can be seen on the front O/S tyre. The spare is in excellent condition, and if the car makes enough, I'll even fit the spare !

For the price im not expecting much, so a 400 mile trip tomorrow and i will see what happens
All i know is what is in the description, it needs a wheel bearing and some interior plastics
Can somebody tell me what nova this is like the description etc
Been into corsas for years never really played with novas

That doesnt look too bad really, for £180 its well worth the tax/mot it has left. People pay more for far worse!

Extra Finds ( always good ) :

http://i677.photobucket.com/albums/vv136/markd89/Image019.jpg

Its not in bad condition atall, needs a good polish and wax, there is no filler what so ever and the underneath is very clean the arches havent been rolled but have surface rust same as the o/s door ( they will be sanded down treat with rust preventor and painted.
The only dent in the car is near the filler cap which might pull out but im not bothered that its there
The battery tray has already been treat just needs a lick of paint to tidy it up overall i dont think its a bad find for the money i paid, comment and suggestions on what route to go down would be helpful

I was thinking of a 2.0 8v, full setup for £300 on ebay that includes everything, be a shame as the engine in it now is perfect.
A new interior will be going in and a general tidy up first
Just noticed in the boot 10 old m.o.ts and history lol

AlexW

I know its just my opion but dont bother with a 2.0 8v, 1.6 8v or 16v :d

Today i decided to buy a toffee wheel ( never used one before )
And debadged the rear, no pictures until tomorrow.
I'm thinking of taking the side strips off aswell
Also getting rid of the blue line down the sides of the doors and bumpers

Comment ?

Did the toffee wheel work well? Just a case of rubbing away the glue and it not harming the paint?

I was very suprised at the results, no paint work was damaged atall and it came off very easy. i used to stand there rubbing away with my finger and petrol but it never worked properly.
I would highly recommend one

Obviously it loves speedbumps as it has a ride height to make a 4x4 blush, have you fitted your lowering kit upside down lol

Nice progres mate, she looks good for £180 minus £2.42.

Them bits of work you done on the arches and doors have really tidied her up. Good size exhaust choice too, not too crazy.

If you're gonna lower it, I'd personally lower it on Eibach Sportline kit (-50mm), just promise to use quality springs and not poo like Pi or G-Max, please!

Some nice Vauxhall alloys Cav slabs, Fanblades whatever takes your fancy with a the perfect offset should make her look and handle perfect.

Clear side repeaters should look nice too.

Just noticed the windscreen has toptint too, nice :)

Look forward to seeing her get completed. :thumb:
