Matt Black From Gloss Black

Hi,

Right i am considering putting my car into matt black as a number of the panels need attention to the paint, is there any way i can dull down the gloss black paint it has on there at the moment to give it the matt effect, i.e give it a light sanding down, or scouring pad or any chemical i can use.

Any suggestion will be greatly apreciated, but no ("no don't do it" opinions) because i have made my mind up.
