On my old shell i had some welded on when i had the front end stitch welded; mainly because the guy had some lying around and he did it for free.

However, he seemed to claim he'd seen tarmac rally cars with bowing strut mounts from heavy abuse.

Saying that, I (used to) fit them to Mi16 205's & my 106 GTi tarmac & stage cars had them too.

Maybe there is a potential use for them after all :confused:

Your car, make your own assumption chap TBH. Depends on what your using your motor for i suppose.

Yeah prehaps, think of the forces the strut tops are under on tarmac cars. Jumps, Potholes e.t.c

Anyway... I'd avoid fitting them. Just more potential for rust to occur on a part of the car you can't easily mend/replace

well i got a nova gsi got the c20xe fitted and i got a strut brace and itl be uesd for track ? just woundered if i should fit them lol
