id use white base but ask cv shop as each colour recommends a different colour base

3 litre can do a van lol by the time you have mixed 2 to 1 hardener and about 15 percent thinners you will nearly have 5 litre

Better to have way more than you need as if you cock up a coat (like I did) you can flat it back and basically start again (like I couldn't lol)

perfect if your doing inside and out.
about right if your doing the inside and bay plus always good to have a bit spare incase and mishaps happen eg bumper scrapes

My impreza took 2lts of paint for Full sides two bumpers and a bonnet and a rear boot lid this was all grey primed so the red matched without issues.

i used 50:50 with thinners that gave three good coats on all panels at 2bar

I bought 3lt just in case anything happens, i owuld of used more if i had done the roof and rear spolier.

My euro nova took 2.5lt of paint again 50:50 full outside, bonnet inside and out, boot lid inside and out and door shuts inside of doors. roof was done but then checked over with black checks. Paited over white so good coverage

Riggys nova i used 2kdg and went threw 3lt of paint mixing ratio 2:1 10% thinner full hit again same colour white over white

Jacks nova saloon took 3lt of 2kg DG 2:1 10% thinner full hit painted over red to blue

I could carry on but you get the idea of paint quantitys needed, waterbased wont go as far as solvant when you cross that bridge and no doubt it will pop up.

How much clear coat: get a 5lt kit and that will do you without any issues far far far too many on the market to give any comparison tbh... cheap clear is exaclty that we use some stuff which is from HI-tech (same technology as glasurit *spelling* without the price tag. £65 for 5lt with activator. I used lesonal hs420 on the scooby £170 for 5lt with activator and thinner this had to be weighted as opposed to mixed lol. nice clear tho. :D

yeh ist just exterior no bay, or inside. just outside and doors. i think 2l will do heres my list so far

2l of ford readiant red-as under coat,
2l of tvr candy red - top coat
2l of primer - not sure what colour ?!?!
and its gonna be 2pack so how much thinnners and hardner??

2k candy red?is it a solid colour?

Your paint suplier will have the correct colour primer needed but if you are doing radient red under coat then White would be a good start.
