any good C20XE rebuild threads

as titled, looking for some really good XE pics,

with some helpful info, pic wise and writing wise

also rather then spam two posts

i have a cocast head, on an old block and the thermostat fouls the backing plate. is this normal. what is the fix....

This is not normal you have done somthing wrong lol

hmmm, not good then. maybe it will fit now that the head is on. i didnt try, but the head wouldnt go on the dowels when the backing plate was on...

are you sure the dowls arent in the head you removed and still in the block aswell, i cant see why it wouldnt go on ???

nah, it fitted after i got the thermostat off, i put the cam belt on and it was tought.

there is only two dowls? both on the exhaust side?

iirc there is one on the exhaust and one on the inlet my blockis down the work shop so cant check for you sorry !!!
